This is what you will do

As a Financial Controller at Geris, you ensure a reliable, well-structured, and future-oriented financial administration. In addition, you provide clear reports and sharp analyses that form the foundation for important business decisions within our organization.

You combine the best of both worlds: maintaining a solid financial foundation while actively contributing to the strategic direction of Geris. You will have plenty of room for initiative and play an active role in further professionalizing our financial processes. Whether it concerns automation, process improvements, reporting, or strategic issues, you take ownership. Independently or in project teams, always with a sharp eye for both data and the business itself.

This role comes with real responsibility, but you will never stand alone. Our finance team consists of six ambitious go-getters who value decisiveness, initiative, and teamwork. Hiding behind your screen? Definitely not. Together with your colleagues, you form the financial heartbeat of Geris, support other departments, and proactively gather the information you need to move forward.

• Automating and improving financial processes
• Developing reports and dashboards that truly provide insights
• Managing monthly and annual closings for the various entities within the Geris Food Group
• Performing financial analyses and providing strategic advice to management
• Delivering insights into KPIs, costs, margins, and growth opportunities
• Handling VAT and other tax-related matters (including international issues)
• Preparing for and supporting external audits

Do you have the full package?

You are a true numbers enthusiast who knows how to turn data into clear reports with a compelling story behind them. Of course, we’ll ensure a smooth onboarding process, but after that you quickly take ownership and work independently and proactively. Your open attitude makes you an approachable sparring partner with strong communication skills. You maintain oversight, switch gears quickly, and are confident making decisions. And perhaps most importantly: you are eager to keep developing yourself, both professionally and personally. Growing together, that’s what we stand for.

Also important:

• You have at least a bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in a financial field
• You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role
• An analytical mindset and the ability to explain the story behind the numbers
• Proactive, independent, and communicatively strong
• Eager to continue developing yourself in a dynamic environment
